How much does the employer share in ESIC?

Ans: 3.25% of Gross Wages

Description:

A total of 4% of ESIC in the contribution is again divided into the following.

Employer Side - 3.25% of Monthly Gross Wages/Wages Payable for the month.

Employee Side - 0.75% of Monthly Gross Wages/Wages Payable for the month.

If the monthly gross wage is more than 21000/Month then the employee is not eligible for ESIC benefit and hence no contribution calculation will happen.
